This is our first Pack Meeting of the 2025-2026 Scouting season and it is also an Open House for anyone interested in joining the Cub Scouts or learning more abut Cub Scouts.

All Cub Scouts, Den Leaders, and Pack Leaders are requested to attend. non-Scout siblings are always welcome. An adult must accompany each child.

The Pack Leaders, Den Leaders, and Cub Scouts will welcome guests and new members, conduct a brief opening ceremony, make announcements about the upcoming events, lead several organized activities, and conduct a brief closing ceremony.

This meeting will also be the official kick-off to Popcorn Sales. Create and account and sign up for storefront selling shifts using the Trail’s End app.

Parents of new recruits will meet some of the adult leaders, learn about our Pack and activities, learn about the Cub Scout program, how to sign up, where to purchase a uniform and other equipment, the cost for membership, and the special activities we have planned for this year.

Location:

Barrows Elementary School, Cafetorium – 16 Edgemont Avenue, Reading.

Enter through the side door on Edgemont Ave, which is on the same side of the school as the main entrance, but to the right and down the hill, under the awning and near the dumpster.

Additional Details:

Current Cub Scouts, please wear either your Class A Uniform or at least your shirt, kerchief, and neck slide.

A reminder that we are a “family pack”, meaning that each child should be accompanied by an adult at Pack Meetings. Non-Scout siblings are welcome! Adult participation is strongly encouraged.

Children and their accompanying adult will sit at grade-level tables (i.e., by Den)

There will be no food at this event, but a water fountain is available.
